I was happy to see that my gear face sculpture came out of the glaze kiln just as expected. He was already sold to my classmate before I finished adding the gold to it.

I had several other pieces finished as well including this mask to which I also added gold. I have quite the collection of bisqued pieces that I have been delaying finishing for one reason or another. It’s time for me to remedy that trend.

I also worked on some new pieces including some small figurines of a pig, horse and cat, as well as an underwater inspired sculpture with anemones and coral.

We installed our Spring show this afternoon. It looks great! Judging is tomorrow and our opening on Friday. I need to work on the program cover and printing out the artist statements tomorrow morning. It’s going to be a great show.
