So today’s Inktober prompt was ‘Sun’ and I couldn’t help but think of Aeryn Sun from Farscape. Peeking ahead at the prompt list, I predict more Farscape themed sketches this month.

This morning was a beautiful day to take the boat to the marina for winter storage. The morning was calm and sunny and I got some beautiful photos on the ride over to the marina.
This evening I went to the pottery studio and worked on several pieces. I made my requisite pumpkin for the fall- I’ve someone every year since I started working in clay. I also made a ghost, a Boo sign, a vase, a tiny owl figurine and finished the mushroom-themed covered mug that I started last month.

And I also got a couple neat photos of my older son while waiting for his brother’s bus.

We had our poetry critique meeting this morning after the boat was dropped off. Here is one of the poems I shared today.
Shadow
A tree’s shadow stretches
Painting the building light,
A quiet beauty birthed at dawn,
When sunlight banishes the night.
The leaves, like whispers, dance,
Stirred by the gentle breeze,
A fleeting moment, a soft reminder
Of nature’s ancient ease.
We stand in awe, still tethered,
To the earth from which we rise—
A fleeting glimpse of where we’re from,
Beneath familiar skies.
With all this today, I didn’t have time to work on my script, so that is on my to-do list for tomorrow.
What is on your creative to-do list?
